lose
weight overnight or within a very short period
of time. Don't believe it. You didn't
gain the weight overnight and you certainly
can't lose it over night. It takes time,
good eating habits, exercise and
consistency. Did you know that there
are 3500 calories in one
pound of fat. So you need to burn 3500
calories to lose one pound of
fat.
Flat
Stomach Myth 2 - I'll Just Exercise It
Off
Many people think that they can eat whatever
they want and then just exercise more to make
up for the extra calories. That sounds
great, but it doesn't work that way. You
can't put junk into your body and expect to
just exercise it off. You have to
develope good eating habits, eat fat burning
foods, do proper ab exercises, and exercise to
lose weight all over your
body.
Flat
Stomach Myth 3 - Correct Ab
Crunches
Another myth is that doing
100's of crunches in a row just to get it over
with is the best thing to do. This is not true.
The best way to exercise your abs is by doing 4
sets of 20-25 of slow, good quality crunches.
Another tip is to keep the ab muscles tight and
breath properly. Exhale on the way up and
inhale on the way
down.
Flat Stomach
Myth 4 - Spot
Toning
Spot
toning means doing exercises to isolate a
single part of your body in an attempt to
lose fat in that particular area. How
many of us wish we could lose some weight
in one particular part of our bodies? You
can not lose fat in a particular part of
your body by exercising that area alone.
It doesnt work that
way.
If you
want to
lose fat in a single section of
your body you will need to burn fat
from all over your body. You can do
a hundred crunches every day, but you will
not transform a fat stomach into a flat
stomach. All it will do is make your
stomach muscles stronger. It will do very
little for the layer of fat that
covers you abdominal
muscles.
It takes a
combination of cardio exercises and
good eating
habits to increase your
metobolism
and
burn more
calories than you consume
to get rid of that fat
layer.
Flat
Stomach Myth 5 - Lifting Weights Will Make
Women Too
Muscular
Lots of women are afraid to
lift weights because they think they
will get too 'bulky'
. This is not
true. Ladies,
don't be worried
about getting ‘bulky’ - your body lacks the
male hormone to do so (testosterone). Even men
who HAVE testosterone find it difficult to bulk
up, so trust me on this.
